Fanduel NFL Week 5 2017 Picks, Advice and Lineups

QB

QB1 – Dak Prescott ($7700)

The Cowboys vs Packers has the highest vegas total (52.5) on Fanduel’s Sunday 1pm slate and should feature a lot of points in a shootout.

Dak has thrown for 3 TDs in both previous matchups VS the packers and should get plenty of opportunities since Aaron Rodgers should move the ball quite easily.

He is also trending up and has scored at least 17 FDP in all 4 games so far. He is primed for a breakout game and could put up 4 total TDs in this exciting matchup.

QB2 – Jay Cutler ($6800)

I know what you’re thinking: The Dolphins are terrible. However, if you look closely, you will see that the Dolphins haven’t played a home game yet and finally get the comfort of playing in Miami.

Deshaun Watson roasted the league’s worst pass defense and Cutler has 5 total TDs in just 2 career appearances vs Titans. He’s cheap and makes a great stack with Devante Parker who has at least 69 receiving yards in his first 3 games.

Other Picks: Deshaun Watson, Eli Manning, Aaron Rodgers

RB

RB1 – Todd Gurley ($7800)

He leads the league in TDs (7), touches per game (26+) and gets another great matchup at home vs the Seahawks. The Seahawks are allowing a league worst 5.26 YPC and Gurley is the focal point of this offense.

RB2 – Le’Veon Bell ($9500)

Bilal Powell and Elijah Mcguire made the Jaguars run defense look silly including 2 long TDs of 69 and 76 yards. Bell should get all the carries he can handle and could break a long TD run in a prime matchup.

Other Picks: Bilal Powell, Legarette Blount, Leonard Fornette

WR

WR1 – Dez Bryant ($7800)

He’s dominated the Packers in the past and finally gets a decent matchup in a high scoring affair. Bryant leads the league in red zone targets inside 10 (6) but has a low catch rate (16.67%). This is due to dealing with elite CBs over the first 4 weeks.

He should have a field day with Green Bay CBs who gave up big games to Julio Jones and A.J. Green.

WR2 – Deandre Hopkins ($7700)

Deandre Hopkins has 4 career TDs in just 3 regular season games VS Chiefs. He leads the league in catches (31) and should avoid shutdown corner Marcus Peters. Deshaun Watson is quietly leading the NFL in QBR and should send plenty of targets towards Hopkins. Watson-Hopkins stack is risky (Chiefs were tough on both road games and allow a league low opponent completion percentage (48%), but I think Hopkins is the safest play of the two.

WR3 – Devante Parker ($6100)

The Dolphins finally get a home game and host the worst pass defense in the league. Jarvis Landry, Kenny Stills and Devante Parker are all in play. Parker is the safest option since he leads the team in targets, scrimmage yards, and TDs.

Other Options: Jaron Brown, Larry Fitzgerald, Kenny Stills,

TE

Austin Serafin-Jenkins ($5500)

The Browns are getting shredded by TEs and ASJ should get plenty of targets. #1 Pick Myles Garrett makes his Browns’ debut so that means Josh Mccown (revenge?) should dump off the ball to his RB and TE. ASJ is a safe pick with 2 TD upside.

K

Mason Crosby ($5000)

Greg Zuerlein showed us that opposing kickers at Dallas can post huge games. Crosby is in a great spot against a beatable defense that is stout in the red zone. Dallas leads the NFL in lowest home red zone TD percentage (20%), meaning Green Bay will rely on kicking to get points. Crosby is safe for double digit upside plus can put up a possible 20+ game.

DEF

Detroit Lions

Cam Newton was good, but the Patriots defense is a mess. Detroit has 4 straight double digit fantasy point games and intercepted 6 passes at home (3 per game). The Panthers are 3-1 but the Detroit defense is tough and should remain solid at home.

Top Stacks

1. Dallas Cowboys
2. Miami Dolphins
3. Green Bay Packers
4. Colts
