What started out as a red hot night with Steve Pearce hitting 2 HRs quickly turned cold fast when Bud Norris only lasted 5+ innings and Mike Trout went 0/4. Here’s a screenshot of Wednesday’s winning entry into the $35k MLB Squeeze on Fanduel.

The Winning Fanduel MLB Squeeze Lineup for September 17th

2014-09-18_0136_001

5 out of the 9 players on the winning lineup were recommended in yesterday’s MLB picks article. Downs went with a small 3 man Pirates stack that blew up Boltholz and went on to score 9 runs.

Carrasco was the highest scoring pitcher on the night as he dominated the Astros in Houston. Another sneaky play was Christian Yelich who was extremely underowned yet put up 7.5 FDP to help him take 1st place.

He spent only $7,500 on his pitcher and no more than 4k on any hitter. Tonight, it looks like a very balanced lineup was the best way to go. I will probably make a small adjustment for Thursday to see if balanced produces a much better score.

Lastly, 6 out of 8 hitters were playing at home where most hitters produce better splits. Aside from the pitcher, it looks like creating a balanced lineup of hitters at home under a $4k price tag produced the winning score.
