Fanduel NBA DFS Picks – January 2nd, 2019

Welcome to our Fanduel NBA DFS Picks for 1/2/2019. In this article, I share my favorite Fanduel Starting 5 plays at each position.

Be sure to check the NBA starting lineups before lock. If you need help doing research, read our Fanduel NBA strategy guide and Fanduel NBA research pages for more information.

PG

Tomas Santoransky – $6,200

He’s in a great spot to produce against a lowly hawks team at home. In his previous start vs Hawks, he put up 38 FDP in 38 minutes. John Wall is out for the season so he’ll get all the minutes he can handle. The Wizards have a short rotation of only 8 players so I think he’s the first player in my Wizards stack tonight.

SG

Bradley Beal – $9,800

Bradley Beal should put up a monster line against a Hawks team that’s he has dominated over 2 games this season. He’s shooting 59% from the floor against the Hawks and put up a decent stat line last game even though he struggled shooting. If his shot falls tonight, he has 60+ FDP upside. He scored 58 FDP in the previous matchup vs Hawks when Wall sat.

SF

Justice Winslow – $7,100

His new PG role has added a lot to his fantasy value and he torched this same Cavs team for 51 FDP last week. The recent down game should keep ownership down but realize he shot 26% from the field against the Timberwolves. If his shot falls, he could easily put up another 50+ FDP performance.

PF

John Collins – $8,400

He put up 22/14 against a good Pacers defense and now gets a dream matchup against the Wizards who just lost one of their best players for the season. The Wizards are a bad team that doesn’t play defense. And who will be able to stop Collins and his extreme athleticisim?

C

Karl Anthony Towns – $10,500

The Derrick Rose injury has given him the greenlight to score at will and put up some monster fantasy lines. He’s still cheaper than Embiid who is coming off a b2b and may rest. Celtics have struggled against Bigs for several seasons and I don’t see anyone stopping KAT right now.

My Favorite Stacks of the Night

Wizards – Santoransky, Beal, Ariza, Bryant

The Wizards are my favorite stack of the night. They have a short 8 man rotation and all the starters play heavy minutes. Plus, they rarely blow teams out.

Thunder – Westbrook, Schroeder, George, Grant

It’s an expensive stack that could pay dividends against the Lakers on the last game on the slate.

Timberwolves – Celtics

Both Kyrie Irving and Anthony Davis are questionable so this could be a tournament winning stack if they both sit. You can play Towns, Covington and Jones along with Brown, Rozier, Tatum and Morris.
