Fanduel NBA Lineup Advice & GPP Picks for October 19th, 2018

Our first Friday night of the NBA season features a 9 game slate starting at 7pm EST on Fanduel.

In this article, I’ll be sharing my favorite plays for GPP tournaments as well as a few cash game locks that provide value due to lineup changes, injuries etc.

PG

Elfrid Payton – Coming off a triple double (10 pts, 10 rbs, 10 asts) and gets a nice boost from running this high powered NO offense.

Jeff Teague – PGs vs Cavs has been a thing for a few seasons and I’m not going to ignore Teague on this slate. All the Timberwolves are in play especially the guards.

Spencer Dinwiddie – A subway series game VS the Nets should produce plenty of points. Dinwiddie has a nice height advantage of Trey Burke and should hit value easily.

Deaaron Fox – Another potential shootout vs the Pelicans. Had a strong game against Utaj and gets a nice uptempo matchup.

SG

Jimmy Butler – He’s very expensive but could go overlooked on this slate. Could hit 50+ FDP in a cupcake matchup vs the Cavs.

Dennis Schroder – As long as Westbrook sits, Schroder will run the OKC offense. I will pair him with Paul George in GPPs for lots of upside.

Tim Hardaway Jr – Went off against his former team and lead the team in FGA (22) last game

SF

Paul George – A prime scoring option against a LAC that has historically struggled against SFs.

Andrew Wiggins – Always plays well against the team that drafted him. Put up 32 FDP last game against a tough Spurs defense.

Etwan Moore – The cheapest starter on the Pelicans. Hit 6x value last game vs Rockets.

PF

Anthony Davis – The top overall play on the slate. Went off for 80 FDP last game. He’s expensive but you can fit him with one or two value plays.

Serge Ibaka – Came off the bench but still played 27 mins and hit 6x value. Should play more minutes in a tough Eastern conference matchup vs the Celtics.

Taj Gibson – Should bounce back nicely in this cupcake matchup. Got into foul trouble but still dominating the minutes at PF. All the Timerwolves are in play tonight.

C

Jarrett Allen – The 2nd year center posted a strong line against Drummond. He was overmatched vs the Pistons but could excel against the Knicks. I’ve been doing well targeting centers between the $6000 to $7000 salary range so far.

Boban Marjanovic – Boban outplayed Gortat in the Clippers’ season opener by a wide margin. He was scoring with ease and giving the Nuggets frontcourt major issues. He’s cheap and should be low owned.

My Favorite Stacks of the Night

  1. Pelicans – They ran the Rockets off the court in Houston and Anthony Davis looks like the early candidate for MVP. This offense is stacked with talent and will be a dangerous team if the starting 5 stays healthy.
  2. Timberwolves – I’m picking on the Cavs all season long who will struggle to win games.
  3. Nets – Subway game with a lot of points scored.
  4. Grizzlies – The Hawks are a mess and they are my favorite low owned stack of the night
