Fanduel NBA Picks for October 22, 2018
We have a 9 game main slate on Fanduel with a 7:30pm EST lock.
Here are my favorite plays for Monday night’s slate:
PG
Lonzo Ball – The NBA has suspended Rajon Rondo for 3 games following his altercation with Chris Paul so Lonzo Ball will step into the starting lineup and play heavy minutes. PGs vs Spurs has been profitable over the years and I’ll be targeting ball heavily in tournaments.
JJ Barea – The veteran PG has carved out a nice role and put up 6x+ value in his first two games. Kris Dunn is still out so he won’t have to worry about elite defense as well.
Derrick Rose – He’s increased his fantasy production in 3 straight games, including a recent 47 FDP performance where he played 32 minutes
SG
Malcolm Brogdon – Brogdon is in the starting lineup and gets a nice matchup at home vs the Knicks. I really like all the Bucks here but Brodgon is one of the cheapest out of all the starters.
Zach Lavine – Dallas is allowing 128.5 ppg this season and Lavine has scored over 30 points in his first two games. He’s really benefiting from Kris Dunn’s absence in the lineup. Even if Dunn returns, I like Lavine in this matchup.
Demar Derozan – The Lakers are 0-2 and the main reason is because their defense is struggling. They are allowing 126 pgg and Derozan should feast in this matchup. Guards have really struggled
SF
Kawhi Leonard – He’s cheaper than Lebron or Durant and he’s coming off a couple days rest since he sat out the Raptors’ previous game. He’s taken heavy shot attempts and should be in line for a strong outing at home.
Giannis – He’s one of my top overall players on the slate and I’ll be plugging him into all my lineups.
Evan Turner – If you need value at the SF position, then target Evan Turner. SFs vs WAS has done well over the last couple of seasons and his minutes are on the rise.
PF
Jayson Tatum – The 2nd year pro is in All Star form and gets a nice matchup at home vs the Magic
Bobby Portis – As long as Lauri is out, we can target Portis on the regular. He had a tough matchup vs Blake Griffin but still managed a decent line. I expect him to go off against the Mavericks.
Kyle Kuzma – Brandon Ingram is suspended for 4 games so I expect either Joe Hart or Kuzma to enter the starting lineup. If Kuzma enters the lineup, then he will become a player I target in my lineups.
C
Javale McGee – He’s averaging 20 minutes a game but only needs limited minutes to produce at a high rate. The price is up a bit but he’s still a value at under 6k.
Kyle O’Quinn – He’s only in play for GPPs but his minutes have increased in 3 straight games. Karl Anthony Towns is known for his poor defense and if the Pacers decided to go big to handle the Timberwolves’ massive frontcourt, then O’Quinn becomes a nice value play.
De’Andre Jordan – Coming off a massive game and should rack up a ton of rebounds and blocks vs the young Bulls team.
My Favorite Game Stacks of the Night
Mavericks – The Bulls-Mavericks matchup has the highest vegas total on the slate and you can stack guys like Barea, Powell, Jordan and Luka Doncic for plenty of upside.
Bulls – Kris Dunn plans to return so that will send Cameron Payne back to the bench and hurt Lavine’s upside. Still, I like guys like Dunn, Holiday and Portis.
Bucks – The Knicks will be overmatched and I’m expecting guys like Brogdon, Giannis and Henson to have monster games.
Lakers – No Rondo or Ingram will open up a lot of minutes for guys like Ball, Hart, Kuzma and Stephenson.
