PG

Stephen Curry – $9,800

The Warriors have the highest implied total on the slate and I think building a lineup with Curry and Durant is a great place to start. He’s coming off a b2b but has averaged 44 FDP per game on the road. His shot is falling and he is still priced under 10k.

Derrick Rose – $4,800

I actually like both Rose and Tyus Jones but Jones’ minutes are more unpredictable since the Timberwolves got blown out last game. If Wiggins sits again, then this really bumps up Derrick Rose who should feast on the Lakers. All the Timberwolves guards are in play tonight.

SG

Tim Hardaway Jr – $6,700

He’s leading the team in scoring and minutes played at home and I love targeting guards against the uptempo nets. He Dropped 38 FDP on this same Nets team in Brooklyn and could exceed 50+ FDP if his shots falls tonight.

Monte Morris – $4,800

The scoring guard erupted against the Lakers with a recent 43 FDP game. He’s averaging over 28+ minutes in his last 2 and has increased his scoring output in 4 straights games (0, 9,11,210). The shorthanded Pelicans got roasted by Ricky Rubio so all of the guards like Murray, Harris, and Morris are in play. Morris is the cheapest and I love him for GPPs.

SF

Kevin Durant – $10,600

He’s over 1k cheaper than Lebron who will have to deal with Jimmy Butler defense all night long. He’s currently on a scoring tear against soft Eastern Conference defense with 3 straight 50+ FDP games. The Warriors are champions and I’m not worried about the b2b. Actually, that impoves the chances of this game staying close.

Robert Covington – $6,300

He finally broke out of his slump and I will have a lot of Covington tonight against a very soft Hawks defense. The Hawks got manhandled by a tired Bulls’ team on a b2b at home so I think all of the sixers are in play. Embiid and Simmons are expensive but Covington is the team’s 2nd leading scorer at home and averages 36 FDP at home.

PF

Noah Vonleh – $4,400

He finally moved into the starting lineup and helped the Nets’ keep the game close vs the Warrios until the 4th quarter onslought developed. Brooklyn is ranked 26th in PF defensive effiency so I expect a monster double-double form vonleh.

Taj Gibson – $5,300

He has dominated the Lakers’ in recent matchups averaging over 42+ FDP in his last 2 games verses the Lakers. Blowouts have kept the minutes low for Taj and company but this game should remain close. I think it makes for a good game stack and Taj is one of the cheapest starters.

C

Javale McGee – $6,600

Karl Anthony Towns is known as a terrible defender and I expect a lot of blocks from McGee tonight. Don’t let his last game scare you away. The Spurs are ranked #1 in C defensive effiency while the Timberwolves are ranked 27th. Towns could easily play 30+ minutes and the Lakers don’t have anybody else to guard him. Expect a big bounce back game from McGee.

My Favorite Game Stacks of the Night

New York Knicks – Frank N, Tim Hardaway, Dotson, Vonleh

The Knicks showed they have a promissing future in their recent home matchups VS the Warriors. They lead the game for the majority of the way and I like their new, energized lineup.

Philadelphia Sixers – Simmons, Fultz, Covington, Embiid

Covington and Fultz should produce well but Simmons and Covington are expensive. Still, The sixers often get into fantasy friendly games and this matchup should remain the same.

Minnesota Timverwolves – Rose, Butler, Okogie, Gibson

Butler is an excellent GPP play who will surely be low owned but is in a great matchup. I’ll have at least a couple T’wolves in all my lineups tonight.
