Fanduel NFL Perfect Lineup Analysis and Comments
In this section, I will give a quick breakdown of why each player was a strong play then provide you with a few players to target next week. Fanduel is all about matchups so we got to exploit them to put up big scores.
Quarterback
QB Andrew Luck vs Jacksonville- Luck faced a Jacksonville defense that has allowed the most yards per game from scrimmage. Nearly 20% of people picked him instead of guys like Brees, Rogers, or Stafford. The no brainer play is to target ALL QBs against Jacksonville then spend time optimizing your other positions.
Week 4 QB Value Pick: Phillip Rivers VS Jaguars
Running Backs
Marshawn Lynch- Beastmode is a always a must play at home because the Seahawks love to grind out the game and feed their star running back. Denver allows 105 rushing yards per game and 4 TDs already. If Russell Wilson planned to beat Peyton Manning, you knew Lynch would be the focal point of the offense. Denver & Seattle are on bye weeks so there is no value play.
Joe McKnight – Everybody had Knile Davis but McKnight got most of the red zone carries. He was barely owned at 0.01 percentage so if you had him, he pushed you to the top quickly. Miami Dolphins defense allows 125 rushing yards per game and 1 TD per game on average.
Week 4 RB Value Pick: Darren McFadden VS Miami
Wide Receivers
Antonio Brown – Brown is 5th in the league in receiving yards and receives the majority of targets from Big Ben. Week 3 was his second 90 yard effort in a row and he went completely overlooked a supposedly tough Carolina defense at home. The Steelers embarassed the Panthers at home, meaningly Brown is becoming almost matchup proof.
Week 4 WR Value Pick: Steve Smith VS Carolina
Jeremy Maclin – Maclin is so good that I’m not recommending a value replacement. He is the #1 pick for your 2nd receiver because he is the #1 target for the NFL’s league leading passer. Foles leads the NFL in passing yards with 978 in just 3 games. Maclin is his favorite target, which makes him a must start in week 4.
Pierre Garcon – Garcon lit up the Eagles pass defense in what turned into a shootout in Philadelphia. The Eagles still have a bad secondary and any WR can go off. Desean Jackson also went for 100+ receiving yards and 1 TD.
Week 4 WR Value Pick: Michael Crabtree VS Eagles
Tight Ends
Martellus Benett
Bennett was a sneaky play against a terrible Jets pass defense. With Brandon Marshall and Jeffries both nursing injuries, you had to have some exposure to Bennett.
Week 4 TE Value Pick: All the Detroit Lions Receivers (Calvin Johnson, Golden Tate)
Kicker
Adam Vinatieri
Stacking against the Jaguars is a great general strategy. They gave up the most yards in the NFL so any kicker should get plenty of FG attempts and XPs.
Week 4 Kicker Play: Nick Novak VS Jaguars
Defense
Indianapolis Colts – Lastly, just start any defense against the Jaguars. They are by far the worst offensive team in the league, and even with the QB change to Bortles, I will still target defenses against them.
Week 4 Defense Value Play: San Diego Chargers VS Jaguars
