Fanduel NFL Week 3 Picks

cowstitans0008

Week 3 is coming up and here’s a detailed rundown of players I’m targeting in my GPPs on Fanduel. A lot of injuries, suspensions and weird things happened last week so remember to always check up on your player status around Sunday 12PM.

Last week, Fanduel was down from 12:30PM until 1PM so make sure to set your lineups at least 1 hour before kickoff. Don’t wait until the last minute!

QBs

Matthew Stafford $9,000

Last week, Stafford struggled against a very tough Carolina Panthers defense that won 9 straight home games. This week, he returns to Detroit where he and Megatron lit up the scoreboard in Week 1. Green Bay has allowed the 6th fewest passing yards in the league but Vegas predicts this game to be the highest scoring. Aaron Rogers and Stafford will most likely end up in a shoutout, plus Stafford is $900 cheaper than Rogers.

Drew Brees $9,100

Finally, Drew Bees is at home where he performs much better in the comfort of the New Orleans Dome. Minnesota may keep this competitive because Adrian Peterson returns after missing 1 week due to the whole child abuse fiasco. Jimmy Graham and Drew Brees handcuff should be fairly popular and for good reason.

Kirk Cousins $6,800

RG3 dislocated his ankle during week 2 and Kirk cousins stepped in and led the Redskins to their first victory in 9 games. He gets to face a Eagles defense that has been pretty bad against the pass and looks vulnerable. Alfred Morris is a much better runner at home, so I think the Redskins will throw and throw often on the road. At a reduced price tag, Cousins looks like a solid play to save a few thousand on salary.

Other QB’s: Tom Brady, Andrew Luck

RBs

Ahmad Bradshaw $5,200

After a week 2 breakout, Ahmad Bradshaw appears to be the more talented and consistent running back to the Colts. In Week 3, he faces a terrible Jaquars team that got embarassed by the Redskins. Bradshaw could have a big game catching passes out of the backfield. Luck also isn’t afraid to throw in the flat where Bradshaw can either break tackles or catch a short TD pass.

Giovani Bernard $8,500

Bernard is a complete stud. He is the engine and workhouse of the Bengals offense. With A.J. Green suffering a toe injury, I think the Bengals will run more often considering they are at home and facing a bad Titans defense that gave up over 160+ yards to Demarco Murray.

Demarco Murray $8,700

Murray is in beast mode right now. With Tony Romo struggling, Murray has become the main focus of the Cowboys offense. He has 2 back to back 100+ yard games and doesn’t look like he slow down against a weak STL rams defense. The Rams are allowing 170 rushing yards per game. Murray is a must play.

Other RBs: Christopher Ivory, Lesean Mccoy, Darren Sproles

WR

Sammy Watkins $6,600

The Bills’ rookie receiver had a breakout game where he caught 117 yards on 11 targets. EJ Manuel is playing great and gets another favorable matchups against the Chargers.

Calvin Johnson $9,000

Megatron returns home after a disappointing game against the tough Panthers team. Johnson also dropped a touchdown pass in the endzone while he was being triple teamed. He was really one play from having a great week 2 so it’s definitely time to start him against the packers in what should be a shoutout.

Jordy Nelson $8,600

Who would have guessed that Jordy Nelson would led the league in receiving yards entering week 3? He’s Rogers favorite target and is playing in the game with the highest total. If Detroit gets up by a few TDs early, Rogers will have no choice but to throw.

Other WRs: Randall Cobb, Mike Wallace, Brandon Marshall, Jeremy Maclin

TE

Niles Paul $5,000

With RG3 injured, Kirk Cousins has a new favorite target: Niles Paul. Paul caught 8 passes for 99 and a TD. Cousins won’t run much so the Redskins TE is now worth a lot more to the offense. If the Redskins get behind early, Cousins will throw often and Paul will be the main target of his passes.

Jimmy Graham $8,400

Drew Brees at home? Check. Jimmy Graham averaging 100 receiving yards per game? check. Graham is easily the Top TE in week 3.

Antonio Gates $6,000

I thought Gates was too old but he proved me wrong by going off against the Super Bowl Champion Seahawks for 3 TDs in week 2. The only problem? The seahawks were away from home playing in San Diego. The change in climate and tempature definitely affected the game. Now in Buffalo for week 3, Philip Rivers will only have eyes for Gates in the red zone.

Kickers

Kicker is more random because you need to target an offense that gets into the red zone but doesn’t score many TDs. This week, I like a few kickers:

  • Dan Carpenter
  • Mike Nugent
  • Stephen GostKowski

Defense

Carolina Defense $5,600

Carolina has won 9 straight home games and just held the high octane Lions offense to 6 points.

Houston Defense $5,200

Eli Manning is an interception machine and I can see the Texas getting a pick 6 in this game.

Other Defense: New England Patroits
