Fanduel NFL Week 4 Picks, Advice, and Lineups (2017)
Our main focus with this article is to give you high quality Fanduel picks for your cash games and GPPs. This article provides in-depth insight that you can apply to your lineups.
QB
QB1 – Tom Brady
It’s hard to mess around with QB in Week 4 after seeing 3 weeks of solid stats to make judgements on. Tom Brady is a clear QB1 so far since he leads the league in FDP, passing yards and touchdowns. The Patriots run game isn’t very effective so Brady will throw early and often. The Patriots defense is a mess so hopefully the Panthers can put up some points.
QB2 – Carson Palmer
Palmer came alive in week 3 and gets a dream matchup against a team that is getting shredded by QBs. His floor is safe plus you can handcuff him to Larry Fitzgerald who is coming off a monster performance.
Other Picks: Russell Wilson, Jared Cook, Deshaun Watson
RB
RB1 – Todd Gurley
The former Georgia Bulldogs running back is finding his form and averaging around 25 FDP per game. He leads the league in carries and gets around 26 touches per game. The Rams have the top scoring offense in the league and have rested for 10 days while the Cowboys are on a short week. He is still underpriced plus I love a stack with Sammy Watkins who is a nice pivot from Stefon Diggs.
RB2 – Dalvin Cook
The rookie RB is racking up carries, broken tackles, and plenty of targets so far in 2017. What I love about this pick is you get exposure to the Vikings offense that should see a tough time in the passing game. The Lions secondary is good and top CB Darius Slay should shadow Stefon Diggs.
RB3 – Christian Mccrafey
He racked up 11 targets in week 3 and should get plenty of opportunities against the Patriots who are giving up 30 points per game. With no Greg Olsen, a bang up Kelvin Benjamin and ineffective Jonathan Stewart, I expect Mccraffey to get tons of touches. He featured in the winning Sunday Million lineup and I love him in cash games.
Other Picks: Chris Carson, CJ Anderson
WR
WR1 – Brandin Cooks
Over his last 2 matchups versus the Panthers, Cooks has put up 100+ yards and 1 TD in each game while playing for the Saints. He leads the NFL in YPC (25.4) and got going last week vs the Texans. My main handcuff is Brady to Cooks in GPPs and I will have a ton of exposure to Cooks.
WR2 – Larry Fitzgerald
He’s chalk and underpriced. There are reasons to fade Fitzgerald, but he is a lock in cash games. He dominated the Cowboys and has another great matchup vs the 49ers. I’ll be locking him in and going contratian at my WR3 spot. Don’t overthink this.
WR3 – Sammy Watkins
He’s been cleared from the concussion protocol, which should drive down ownership. With all the ownership flooding to Stefon Diggs, I love the pivot to Sammy Watkins who will be completely ignored on the slate. He put up a strong 25+ FDP performance vs 49ers, is well rested and gets a Cowboys secondary that Larry Fitzgerald tore to pieces. Jared Goff is good and I want to stack Gurley with Watkins in GPPs.
Other Picks: AJ Green, Chris Hogan, Allen Hurns, Desean Jackson
TE
In order to stack my RBs and WRs, I will be going contrarian with the TE position. This is a spend down position for me because Gronk is in a tough matchup and Zach Ertz will be overowned.
Ryan Griffin
Deshaun Watson showed great progress and almost beat Tom Brady. The Texans should dominate this game, but I think Deandre Hopkins is an easy fade. He is dealing with a lower body injury (knee) and high ownership limits his appeal. Enter Ryan Griffin. Deshaun Watson loves TEs and they hooked up for 70+ yards and a TD in week 3. He’s minimum salary so plug him in to save salary.
Other Picks: Luke Wilson (if Jimmy Graham sits), Jesse James, Cameron Brate
K
K1 – Nick Novak
I’m spending down on kicker and going with Nick Novak. The Giants have a solid pass and run defense, plus Jameis Winston is struggling. That means more FG opportunities for Novak.
DEF
Jets
High octane offenses can struggle on the road so I like the Jets defense in the week’s lowest total game. The Jets took away Jay Ajayi who is a powerful runner and can control Leonard Fournette who is dealing with jetlag coming off the London game. Yes. There is risk but low ownership makes this pick attractive.

- Patriots
- Vikings
