Fanduel UCL Soccer Picks for November 6, 2018

Welcome to our Fanduel UCL Soccer Picks for November 6, 2018.

We have 2 matches on the early slare and six matches on the FanDuel main slate with a 3pm lock. Be sure to check the UCL Starting lineups around 1 hour before Fanduel locks. Head over to our Fanduel soccer research hub for lineup building help.

I’ll post my Early Slate picks first then the Main Slate picks afterwards.

Early Slate Picks (12:55pm EST)

Below are my picks for the Early Slate on Fanduel. My main strategy will be to target Liverpool who are playing Red Star Belgrade in Serbia. They have the easiest matchup of the slate.

Forwards

Roberto Firmino

He could be rested for this match so be sure to check lineups before kickoff. All the Liverpool attacking options are in play against Red Star who have conceeded 10 goals in 3 group stage matches. If he sits, then Daniel Sturridge becomes a must play.

Wesley

He scored in the reverse fixture and has a chance to continue his goal streak in this matchup. If he doesn’t start, then Emmanuel Bonaventure is a good pivot.

Midfielders

Mohamed Salah

He’s the top overall play on the early slate. Don’t overthink this. There is enough value to play Salah this afternoon.

Sadio Mane

Another attacking option in a great spot to produce here. He and Salah will be busy upfront all afternoon.

Alexandsar Golovin

He lead Monaco in tackles, chances created and shots on goal in the reverse fixture. This is a blowup spot for him at home.

Defenders

Milan Rodic

We need defenders that will work hard to earn blocks, clearances and interceptions. Liverpool will dominate possesion here so this puts the Red Star Belgrade defense in a great spot to produce points. Rodic will be busy all day long.

Brandon Mechele

He’s super cheap and lets me fit Mane into my lineups. This is a pure salary saver.

GKs

Allisson

He didn’t face a shot in Liverpool’s previous win over Red Star and should be in line for around 17 FDP.

Diego Benaglio

Manager Thierry Henry is still winless as coach of Monaco but I think he earns his first win today.

Main Slate (3:00pm EST)

Forwards

Dries Mertens

He’s coming off a hat trick over the weekend and PSG has lost their last 3 away matches in the Champions League. Napoli should score and this is a good spot to stack their offense.

Moussa Marega

Porto gets probably the easiest matchup on the slate and Marega scored in the reverse fixture. I like a Porto stack and Marega is my favorite pick.

Midfielders

Christian Eriksen

Tottenham takes on the bottom team in the group and I want some exposure to the Tottenham attack. Kane is a great play but will be highly owned so I’m going with Eriksen to provide goals, assists, chances created and shots on goal.

Kwadko Asamoah

He will be busy busting up the Barcelona attack all day long and picked up an assist in his last UCL home match.

Axel Witsel

Dortmund has scored 8 and conceeded 0 goals so far during their Champions League campaign. Witsel scored in the reverse fixture and should play the whole 90 minutes.

Defenders

Alex Telles

Porto should be in line for a clean sheet against Lokomotiv. He’s averaging around 20 FDP per game and should pick up the clean sheet here.

Kieran Trippier

He takes set pieces for Tottenham and has massive upside in this matchup. Should go off against PSV at home

Goalkeepers

Iker Casillas

Porto is the safest stack on the day with a cupcake matchup versus Lokomotiv. He earned a clean sheet during his last home UCL matchup.
