Fanduel UCL Soccer Picks for October 24, 2018

Welcome to our Fanduel UCL Soccer Picks for October 24, 2018.

We have six matches on the FanDuel main slate with a 3pm lock. Be sure to check the UCL Starting lineups around 1 hour before Fanduel locks. Head over to our Fanduel soccer research hub for lineup building help.

The biggest news is that Lionel Messi broke his arm and will miss at least 3 weeks. Ousmane Dembele will enter the lineup on Wednesday. FC Barcelona is an interesting stack because Messi is the team’s main playmaker so guys like Coutinho, Suarez and Dembele will have a big void to fill.

Here are my top picks for UCL Tuesday October 24.

Forwards

Neymar

Neymar is the top overall play on Wednesday’s Fanduel main slate. He’s in incredible goal scoring form and has 7 goals in his last 4 appearances for PSG. Not only is he coming off a 3 goal performance in his last UCL match, but he’s well rested and playing at home in Paris.

Daniel Sturridge

He made a start in Liverpool’s last league match vs Huddersfield and could retain his starting spot on Wednesday. Red Star Belgrade conceeded 6 goals in their last away match to PSG and Sturridge or Firmino will be my top target alongside Neymar. Be sure to check the lineups before lock because Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp may change the lineup.

* If Sturridge doesn’t start, I’ll pivot to Dembele or Tim Weah (depending on Angel Di Maria’s status)

Update: Sturridge is not in the starting lineup. Firmino, Suarez and Cavini are the best replacements.

Midfielders

Ivan Rakitic & Coutinho

No Messi means more play making opportunities for Rakitic & Coutinho. We’ll wait to see how exactly starts in these other matches because it’s possible to play them both if some value opens up.

Sadio Mane

He’s back at training after missing a few matches with an injured thumb. Luckily, it’s not a lower body issue so he should have no problems entering the starting XI. Liverpool will be a popular stack and you can pair him with Salah who scored Liverpool’s lone goal at Huddersfield last week.

Weston Mckennie

The young American striker has picked up points in both previous UCL matches and scored 1 goal in each of his last two away appearances in all competitions.

Defenders

Clement Lenglet

We have to save somewhere so I’m plugging in cheap defenders to stack some stud forwards and midfielders. Barcelona has yet to concede to Inter Milan in their last 3 home matches against the Italian club. He’s in line to earn a clean sheet and exceed value.

Dejan Lovren

Another cheap defender that’s facing a weak opponent at home. I’m stacking Liverpool and Lovren is too cheap for his production.

Goalkeepers

Alexander Nubel

He’s stepping into the starting lineup and is the cheapest GK on the slate. Schualke has won their last 3 away matches in the CL and I think Nubel is underpriced.

My Favorite Team Stacks of the Night

Liverpool

Sadio Mane is back in the squad, which is a huge boost to this offense. I’ll be playing as many Reds as possible.

Barcelona

No Messi opens the door for all of the attacking options. Dembele is my favorite play but you can also mix him with Suarez, Coutinho and Rakitic.

PSG

PSG has scored 16 goals in their last 3 homes matches in all competitions.
