Fanduel & Draftkings NBA DFS Lineup Picks – January 24th 2017

Juke’s Quick Take

I had mixed results last night due to the disappointing performance of George Hill, but still managed a pretty high score on Fanduel (328). One of the most important moves was to lock in Jrue Holiday and Terrence Jones once everyone found out that AD was sitting. AD soaks up so much usage so other players had to fill the void.

Tonight, we have Demar Derozan and Joel Embiid listed as OUT. The raptors matchup against the Spurs isn’t great, but there is plenty of value to unlock. The Spurs are coming off a b2b against Brooklyn so don’t be afraid to lock 1 or 2 raptors in your lineups.

The Boston vs Washington game is must watch TV since these two teams have an aggressive history over the last year. Jae Crowder and John Wall almost got into a fight last game, and the Wizards are telling everyone to wear black to the game because it’s going to get messy. If there is one game to stack, I say stack the Celtics vs the Wizards.

My favorite game targets are:

  • BOS vs WAS
  • MIN vs PHO
  • CHI vs ORL

My Top 5 Picks of the Night

PG – Elfrid Payton

He’s cheap across the industry and should log heavy minutes with D.J. Augustin dealing with a sprained ankle. Don’t over think this one. He has 50+ FDP upside and could outscore higher priced guys like Lowry, John Wall and Isaiah Thomas. His minutes are secure and he is the first player I locked into my lineups tonight.

SG – Dwyane Wade

The HOF SG returns to Florida in a great matchup going against the Orlando Magic. I expect the Magic to win, but they will certainly give up a ton of points here. The issue with Wade is always his health. If he is healthy, then he can put up huge games at any time. The Bulls have a b2b tomorrow, but Wade said he plans to play in both games. He put up 32 FDP in only 25 minutes against the Magic at home, and with Butler’s recent struggles I want Wade in a fantasy friendly matchup.

SF – Otto Porter

He leads the league in 3pt FG% and averages 57 FDP against the Celtics this year. I love his game and he is only 23 years old, making the b2b situation a non factor. Bradley Beal got hurt in the last 2 home matchups against the Celtics, so he could carry even heavy usage with no Beal tonight.

PF – Nerlens Noel (If Okafor sits)

I was waiting to write this article looking for news about Okafor, but I absolutely love Noel if Okafor sits. Noel went off for a career high against the LAC 2 seasons ago and should play heavy minutes at the C to matchup with Deandre Jordan. If Okafor plays, then I would pivot to Markieff Morris and spend down at a SG.

C – Bismack Biyombo

Karl Anthony Towns is a great play, but I don’t think his production is sustainable. He could struggle on the road in this matchup so I’m going to Biyombo. He is sharing minutes with Vuvecic and has 2 b2b double doubles of 13 points and 14 rebounds. The Bulls really struggle with centers, and I think Biyombo will should have a nice game.
