NBA Fanduel DFS Picks: January 5th, 2019
Welcome to our Fanduel NBA DFS Picks for January 5th, 2019. In this article, I share my favorite Fanduel Starting 5 plays at each position.
Be sure to check the NBA starting lineups before lock. If you need help doing research, read our Fanduel NBA strategy guide and Fanduel NBA research pages for more information.
PG – Stephen Curry ($10,100)
The Warriors have the highest projected total on the slate and I like Stephen Curry as a top play to give your lineup a unique build on Saturday’s slate. He dropped 60 FDP in his most recent visit to Sacramento and should bounce back nicely from a slightly down performance against the surging Rockets.
SG – James Harden ($13,000)
I mentioned him as a must play in Friday’s article and rewarded us with a masterful 80 FDP performance. He is unfadable at the moment and has a such a huge role in the Rockets offense. He’ll look to string together 6 straight 40+ point games in a row tonight.
SF – Norman Powell ($3,900)
The Raptors are searching for scoring with Kyle Lowry out and Powell has produced nicely coming off the bench. Danny Green looks like a shell of himself and I expect Powell to get more minutes in the future. He, along with Gerald Green ($3,900) are some cheap SF values to help you fit in more expensive guts like Harden and AD.
PF – Anthony Davis ($13,100)
He’s coming off a monster 34 point/26 rebound performance against Brooklyn and gets a tired Cavs team that can’t seem to get things right lately. You can squeeze him into your lineups with all the value at the SG and SF position.
C – Kevon Looney ($4,500)
I’d like to see more minutes from Looney but it’s hard to ignore starting centers VS the Kings. Both Nurkic and Jokic destroyed the Kings inside and Looney is shooting a ridiculous 100% FG (8 for 8) against the Kings this season. He’s super cheap plus gives you some exposure to the Warriors’ massive vegas total.
My Favorite Game Stacks of the Night
Warriors – Curry, Thompson, Durant, Looney
The Warriors should bounce back from their OT loss against the surging Rockets. All the starters are in play here.
Rockets – Harden, Rivers, Green, Capela
The Rockets are on a tear and James Harden is putting up historic numbers as of late. They should win against a Trailblazers team coming off a b2b against the Thunder.
Warriors – Kings
This is the game to stack. The Kings are playing in some close games and I expect them to play well against a stunned Warriors team that lost in OT after surrendering a 20 point lead. Curry, Thompson, Durant and Looney are some strong plays on the Warriors side. For the Kings, you can play Hield, Bjelica, and Willie Cauley Stein.
